In partnership with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, the Neighborhood Network Alliance, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC/Chicago), South Shore Works is co-convening and facilitating a Quality of Life Planning (QLP) process with South Shore residents, business owners and youth.
A QLP investment in the South Shore Community will help set the stage for industrial and workforce development, small business growth, increased income generation, vacancy rate reduction, and increased property values. These new economic development opportunities will offer the South Shore Community sustainability, increased purchasing power and the ability to recirculate dollars within our own community by stemming the rampant revenue leakage that has become the norm.
